Message: Whats up with that nasty noise I get when I shift out of park into D or R. My last dodge(avenger) did it too. I've noticed it on almost every automatic dodge. Is there anyway to get rid of that noise?
Thanks.

Message: I've heard that the noise is a solonoid, and that it's normal. But I have no idea how to cut down the sound. Sorry!

Message: That's right it is the solenoid and unfortunately its normal. I had a 95 avenger that did that too. FYI I know have a 99 Sebring LXI and located on top of the solenoid is some sort of insulation that sheilds the noise. It has some part numbers on it. If your interested I'll get them for you and maybe you can ask the dealer if there is something similar available for your truck.
Z-Tube, R/T Rims, SSB Rear Disc Conversion, Alpine Head-Unit, Infinity Kappa Speakers, SilverStar Headlights, HO Cams & Intake installed.
Got H.O. ?

Message: That would be great. I hate that stupid noise. How well does it shield the noise?
