Message: I Have 2002 Black Quad cab , and even when its
75F outside , my vent air is comming in at 90+F
in side the cab , it's like an oven.
Anybody else have this problem ,
Can anyone tell me where the cold air intake is located , where the air comes from ??
It seems a waste to run the AC when its cool
out side ?

Message: Your engine produces a lot of heat. The air intake draws air that goes over the engine compartment, so it is always going to warm. The only way to counteract it is to use the a/c.

Message: Unfortunately, we all have this problem. And yes the ONLY way to get cool air inside the cab is to turn on the air. Do you think DC did this on purpose so we'd have to recharge the A/C sooner? :-) You could also put the vent setting on the recirculating air instead of outside fresh air. What this does is lowers the air coming into your cab from 90 degrees to about 85 degrees. LOL. What I'm getting at is that even this does not work though the owner's manual says that if you want cooler air to use the setting where you are recirculating the cab's air instead of drawing fresh outside air (hot). But like I said, the effects are very minimal. When it's hot outside, you won't really feel much difference between the two settings. There was a thread on this subject a while back where someone explained that the design of this system was flawed due to the air being drawn in sitting right next to a major heat source in the engine compartment. Look for that thread. It may help.

WOW what a waste of gas ! Turning the A/C on when
it's 75F outside .
Has anyone talked to a 5***** Dealer / Service?
Or do they just say "it's Normal" !!

Message: Well, I find that if you change the position of these devices called 'Windows' that you can cool the cab quite nicely. Moreso if you have this option called a 'sliding rear window', since it creates a 'suction' effect when it's open and the truck is moving. :0)

Message: Man I wish I remembered what the subject line on that thread was but I don't. Did you use A/C or anything like that as a key word in your search? Try "heat" "cooling" "air" maybe?????
