Is it okay to use a legitimate oil supplement to give my dino oil some muscle? I`m afraid to use synth for fear of leakage.I have 55,000 miles on my truck.

Just switch to synthetic! If you want use some Amsoil engine flush before you drain the dino out fine. Personaly I would just switch to synthetic and go driveing. Just get go get some Mobil 1 synthetic oil at Wal-Mart or get some Amsoil.
