Message: I was going over a curb while turning (I love this 4wd truck) and just as I hit the curb, (maybe 2mph while making a u-turn) I hear this metal grinding sound. Nothing hit the curb, I'm 99.9% sure it was my suspension. so should I put those....what are they moog or something like that, in?
It's a 2002 4x4 CC 3.92's with all the towing and HD options available with 16,800 miles

Message: If you had the wheel cranked all the way to the left or right ,dont matter the noise is Normal, it is the lwr knuckle of the spindle hitting the stop on the control arm. Most of us know about this, ball joints when they go bad make a poping sound.. and you will notice bad tire wear, along with front end doesnt track straight due to excess wheel movement from worn ball joints, I feel most people missdiagnose the ball joints because of alot of HYPE on this Forum..

Message: My ball joints made alot of noise when they went bad. I could feel something loose in my front end while driving on the freeway on slight curves. I think the Kevsters right. It was probably just your knuckle hitting the control arm stopper. I just replaced my ball joints today. Took me about an hour. Carquest had them in stock for 60 bucks(including the tax). Moog ball joints with a grease fitting(what a concept). I guess the guy that came up with that idea doesn't work for dodge. I also replaced my upper control arm bushings too. These were 100 bucks at the dealer. I went to CHECKER,AUTOZONE,PEP BOYS. They all had the same exact part, but it was the wrong part. It was almost half the size of the correct part. Who knows. Anyway all my parts lasted me 114K miles and the only other thing that went wrong was the fuel pump at 65K. You got a great truck.

Message: thanks guys, and yea your right, knowing the ball joint problems, I just took for granted that was the problem. So far the truck has been great to me. My s-10 had more problems at 2,000 miles than this does at 17,000 I guess now my only problem is my driver side seat belt squeaks.
