does the temp on the console exceed 99 b/c its been well over 100 the last few days and its never went over 99.And someone told me it gets its reading from the inside but i think it reads from the outside which is it.

My 2001 R/T has shown temps over 104+ degrees. It even white which reflexs light and is cooler in the summer than a black truck :)

i've seen 102 on mine. i am interested in knowing where the sensor is for this also.

I is getting its reading from outside, it is mounted right on that rubber flap that is usaly removed for cool air to come in, right next to the radiator, open the hood and you can see it.

Yes, it's mounted on the right side of the radiator and reads outside air temperature.

the older style interiors only go up to 99 but the newer style i think 2000 and up go up much higher
