Message: I know I put white-faced gauges on my dak and my instrument cluster went out about 8 months later. The face had nothing to do with it going bad but because it wasn't the original they wouldn't warranty it.
The cluster goes for about $600-800 also.
But it ended up not even being a bad cluster. Shows what Dodge knows.

Message: YOU ARE SO WRONG!!! all warranties are still valid unless the aftermarket part caused the malfunction, and the dealer must prove that it was caused by the product.

Message: If a dealer refuses to honor a waranty for any reason always go to another dealer and you will eventually find one that will do the work and honor the warranty.
In other words .... Dealers depend on doing warranty work to make a living and some dealers are willing to bend a few rules just to get the job.

Message: tim is correct also. dr. d has a great point. I am suprised dealers give people such a hassle about doing warranty work. what do they lose? nothing. they get paid by Chrysler anyway. I would figure (and it would be logical) that dealers would just JUMP at the chance to do warranty work. It's like getting a subsidy. More business for them. But hey.......what do I know?
