Message: they have a few pics of a dakota getting a deasel engine and tranny swap. the whole dash and most of the floorboard is torn apart, and it has a 4-link with disc breaks in the rear. not much is said on it though.

Message: its being made by Banks TurboChargers. They are going to use it for a land speed record in utah. The plan is to use the dakota with a different rear end and pull the trailer of tools and parts with it and then when they get there they are gonna change the rear gears and use the truck to break the record.... sounds like fun!

Message: I read that. I like that magazine, they do feature
some dodge stories. Some of the others seem to
have a real Chev bias.

Message: Yah there is a lot of ford and chevy bias but for good reason, that's what most people are buying. :) I couldn't find a midsize from ford or chevy and the f150 is way too big for me so dodge it is.

Message: Hey Cow, that's similar to how I came to buying the dak. I've always been a Ford guy. Well, I liked the Super duties but they were so expensive (I love massive trucks). The F-150s were nice, but if I wanted a manual transmission, I would have had to go with their little v-8. Looked at the dak and discovered this was the perfect truck for me! Sorry, I know its a little off of the subject, but just thought I'd share.
