Does anyone know how to gauge back spacing on wheels? I need to get a set of 17" wheels for the tires I have left over, but they need to tuck in the wheel wells of a lower 2/4, 96 Dakota! Anyone?
Thanks, Drew

Lay a wheel on the ground or a table with the inside facing up. Put a straight edge across the wheel from side to side in the center of the wheel. Measure from the mounting surface of the inside of the wheel to the straight edge. This is your backspacing.

How can I tell what "Back Spacing" I need to get to tuck? I figure if I can get the correct back spacing number, I can go to a wheel dealer and say I need a wheel with this back spacing, and be done! Then it will just be a matter of finding a wheel that I like!
Any thoughts?
