 Subject: '88 - '89 Side mirrors: the same?

I have an '89 Dakota Sport which is in need of a driver's side mirror thanks to a low flying turkey. Damn my luck! A local salvage yard says they have an '88 Dakota in their lot. Before I go wandering around the junkyard, can anyone tell me if the side mirror from the '88 will match mine? Thanks!

Yes it will fit, Keep in mind that they could have the 6x9 chrome mirror, not the small black one like yours though. Another thing if it is the small mirror like yours it is possible it is not controlled by the remote stick on the inside of the door (It may be a base truck) Either way they will all fit, (from 87 right through to 96)
