Subject: Speed Grilles - What color should I paint them? IP: Logged
Message: I was just looking for some input on what color I should use to paint my speed grilles. I have a 2000 club cab sport 4x4, forest green in color. I was thinking painting them either forest green or black to match the colors on the truck. I dont think the aluminum color would look good on it. What do ya think, green or black?
Thanks.

I kept my speed grilles the stock aluminum because it matches the wheels a little and helps break up the front. I do receive a lot of looks from drivers coming straight at me ;-)
If you were to paint them, I would suggest painting the Forest Green as it would look more "trick". If you painted them black, they really wouldn't look different than stock to oncoming vehicles.
Just my $0.02

Message: stew, if your going to paint the speed grills, why even buy them? scence no one will notice them you can just keep the stock grill and save $120. Leave it aluminum, or buy a billet grill. I have a billet one, and I think it looks better than the speed grill because its polished. What ever you do it will look better than stock.
