Message: Hey Curtis,
Have you had any new Dakota's come in with the banjo fittings leaking..?
This afternoon I noticed a fluid under the passenger side wheel. I had my son move the truck and it was brake fluid. There was fluid spun around the wheel so it had been leaking while driving.
The banjo fitting was loose and after tightening eveything was OK. BUT the other side was also loose.
02 QC with 1000 miles. I think we all should check our brake fittings on the new trucks.

Message: I have never seen that specificaly but I have seen lots of other stuff when doing Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI). I have found grounds off, loose batterys, steering linkage loose, missing air filter, loose bots to the water pump. Should I go on? The factory workers are human and things get missed but that what the PDI is supposed to be for, if the mechanic gives a damn. It is usualy pretty random stuff.
