Message: 392 Hemi? No such beast available from the factory in a production vehicle. The only engine available for the R/T is the 5.9L 360ci engine with a 4-speed transmission.
As far as I'm aware, the only car in Daimler-Chrysler's stable that comes with the 6-speed is the Viper, and it would cost a considerable chunk of change to buy one and have your truck modified to accept one.
I'd say only the 'you have WAY too much money and time on your hands' crowd could pull this off... I've heard of a couple of people who've done it but we're talking a very small handful out of the hundreds of thousands of Dakotas out there.

Message: The only way you're going to get that combo is to build everything yourself, or if you have a deep pocket have someone build it for you. The 392's have'nt been issued by Chrysler since the late 60's if I'm not mistaken. You're best bet would be to get a crate motor and a Borg-Warner 6 speed, if that's what you really want, and get the adapter plates to match them together. Possibilities are endless if you have the money to spend.
