Message: I realize you have a V8, but there is a discussion about the TransGo over on the V6 board, it is a current discussion.

Message: I had a transgo in my 96 camaro and I frekin loved it on of the best mods for the money ! However I was talkin to my buddy that owns a transmission shop about dropping one in my R/T and he told me that I wouldn't want to do that. Didn't eloborate as to why ??? If you want I can ask why he said not to.
If you have the 318 it might be ok but let me know and I'll ask him.

Message: Definitely Transgo. Granted, the '96+ models use a lot of electronics in the transmission, but the Transgo kit doesn't seem to cause any problems.
If you do decide to use it, get the updated Governor Pressure Solenoid pack and transducer from your local dealer or transmission shop (known for causing shifting problems).
