Message: Won't hurt anything. It's just that you will need to change your Dino oil more often than the synthetic.

Message: I've done the switch several times. Dino and synthetic oil are completely compatible so there is no issue with mixing them. As SamD points out, dino oil will break down faster than synthetic so it should be changed more frequently.

Message: Availability... Cost... An old car that leaked synthetic past the gaskets but not dino... at least not as bad ;-)
I choose to run with synthetic if I have my drutthers, though.

Message: nah just cause i was thinking about letting dodge service my truck...but i dunno...besides synthetic is expensive...il probably stick with it though.
