Subject: Line-x over or under rails

I am putting the line-x in my truck. I will also be putting an extang black max tonneau cover on when I am not hauling stuff.
How will the tonneau cover fit if I go over the rails with the line-x?

I see posts just like this one often and the answer is yes, it will. Over the rail is just soo much more useful. I'm not sure about that particular brand, but I know many people have line-x/rhino liner taken right to the edge of the cover on the rail.

I had mine sparyed over the rail and love it. It is very useful and doesn't look any worse. Glad I decided to it!

I went with over-the-rail to protect the body from the weather seals on my gull-wing tonneau. As a side benefit, it has protected the rails from a couple of things that would've put some nasty scratches and/or dents in the paint.

Perfect example: After pulling an F150 out of a mud hole, I went to put one of my chains in the box. As it was covered with mud, it slipped as I was putting it in there, and one of the hooks bounced off of the side rail of my box. If it hadn't been for the LineX, I know for sure that it would've left a nasty dent & accompanying scratch. *phew*

I'm with TallQuad, I had mine (line-x) sprayed on this past Monday, over the rails and am glad I did, didn't plan on it, but on my silver truck, it looks really nice. I think almost all tonneau covers are clamp down anymore, so they're very adjustable.
BTW I paid $440 for my C.Cab I'll try and get some pics up soon

Over the rail for sure.

My truck rails would definately be scratched without it, now they are not.

The black line of the rail works really well with the black lines around the windows and looks good.

I have seen other trucks with bed caps over sprayed on liners and it seemed to work.

Yeah, there's different company that sells some different colors that glow in the dark. I think Trucks TV.com did a little 2 minute publicity/review gig for them a couple months back. The funny part was that they showed this Nissan pickup with a semi-matching gray spray-in liner, and when they killed the lights in their shop the box of the truck was lit up with that funky yellowish-green glow in the dark color. It was kind of cool, but wonder how functional it really is.
