Subject: Driver Door Adjustment? IP: Logged
Message: With only 5000 miles on my QC, the driver side door no longer closes / latches very well and the door is starting to "creak/rattle while driving. Can this be adjusted? Is there something I can do or is this a dealer adjustment?
Thanks

Message: First just see if all the bolts are tight. Also check the striker that is bolted to the truck. I wouldn't try to adjust the door if it's under warranty. Let the dealer do so if they scratch it they will have to fix it.

Message: I have similar question - mine is not under warranty - 87 model. Ya I know I should get rid of it but I cant afford it. I need to adjust the door up. The striker is in the correct position. My hinges were involved in a sprung condition several years ago and I have not gotten to fix this portion of the problem.
