Message: Fools Oughta Ride Donkeys. Used to drive emergency service patrol truck on Mass. Pike, had to call for a tow for three Ford pickups in one day. Seemed like more problems with Fords than everything else combined.

yeah the rangers espesialy look weak and small, they can squeal the tires and go 100 mph but who here has a 2000 dak that cant?
i mean it jsut looks smal and those GEIGH flare side or step side or whatever the hell they are are uggly, did i mention they look smal and weak?
i have seen 0 and in none thats ZERO modded out rangers around my town, seen PLENTY of modded dakotas with big assed tires or dropped set up for racing, rangers, BAH

Message: They do look small -- that's always been something I find peculiar about them. Whenever I see some bog fat guy driving a Ranger -- I ask, "how the hell does he fit into this thing?" People look all "scrunched up" in there -- regardless of their weight. - Jim

Message: First it's Chevy, Like a Rock, now its Fords Rock , somebody needs to get their illusions straight. I am sure they do rock ,if you force them to, but I prefer to DRIVE my Dodge , after all thats what its built for.
I have had Several Fords, I decided to move up from a paper weight to a truck, thus I own a Dodge.

Message: I agree, both the S10 and the Ranger just felt... well, weak. I'm not talking engine wise really, the 4.3 I drove seemed to be ok. I hated the transmission though, ugh, 5-speed hell. Besides the fact that both trucks seemed small in the cab, they just felt like they had a lot more body-twist in curves than a truck should. When I drove my Dak for the first time, it was like, "Wow! It's a -real- truck!". Let's face it, these things are solid... they may have their problems, but underneath, they are all business. A truck that blends looks and actual functionality? Gee, whodathunkit?
