Message: I have a tan(gross) interior and saw some spray paint that can be used on rubber, plastic, etc. What color if any would compliment that ugly tan interior? Can that imatation wood grain stuff be painted over?

Message: i ve used that vinyl spray on several vehicles it works great on interior and exterior vinyl, cloth, ragtops and even seat belts. however it is a dye not a paint so it cant be used on plastic inserts. for this a good sand with220 paper and any good quality exterior paint will work great, ive personaly used automotive paint, spraypaint and once even regular house latex paint none of them pealed off.

Message: that depends on the exterior colour, i had a old buick regal once and it had nasty baby blue interior baby blue paint and wood grain inserts. so the interior was dyed grey the exterior was painted wild orchid pearl (90s sebring conv colour) and all the inserts to match
looked pritty sweet but if you want to stay with the tan either paint the inserts to match the exterior or go with black or white . these colors are good because there not colors there shades so they go well with all colors

Message: Like was said before, Black goes with anything and looks good too. I have the dark slate gray interior and they have put in a very light brown (a cream color) as my headliner in my truck and it really doesn't look bad because of all the dark gray/black inside my truck.

Message: F.Y.I. According to my 99 factory shop manual, never paint the covers for the air bags. This could change the way in which the airbag cover responds during airbag deployment, causing injuries.

Message: doug I agree never paint air bag covers. however paint would not stick to an air bag cover anyway as the material used is jeneraly plyable. with all plyable materials it is best to use a dye not a paint

Message: So what would I use to clean the rubber or vinyl moulding that runs down the side of my 93 dakota? I want to re-dye them black since they are stained and faided.
