Subject: Steering wheel "clunk" IP: Logged
Message: With my 96 ClubCab, whenever I go over a bump, even small ones, I feel a clunk in the steering wheel. I can feel that it's transmitted from way down where it starts. The steering wheel actually moves slightly but I can't move it myself (as a test). Any idea what's causing this? is it something I can tighten/fix myself?
Thanks!

Message: I sometimes get the same thing, but while I'm turning, and I feel a clunk in the wheel, but no moving of the wheel as you describe. I wonder if your issue is the advanced version of mine????

Message: Sounds like your steering stem bushing needs replacing, mine did the same in my old ram, I had it replaced and it was like new again.
