There must be DOZENS of Dakota owners from the L.A & O.C area who post/lurk here on these pages, demonstrating their affinity for customizing and upgrading their trucks, but apparently none who have either the time or desire to meet up with each other.... or so it would seem.
When I initially discovered DodgeDakotas.com, "Kota on 20's" turned me onto the once-a-month "SpeedZone" meeting in the City of Industry. The first time I went, there were quite a few people there. The second time, maybe five or six. The last two times, it was only Eric and me.
Each month, we post info on this meet, and several DAK-heads have professed an interest in attending, yet the meeting has diminished to two.
The point I'm getting to is.....
What's the problem?
Is it the day? The time? Location?
I'm not here to bit{h anyone out, I'm merely tryin' to find out if there's any legitimate hope of keeping this meeting alive.
SpeedZone is a great place to have a meet. There's plenty of room for us to park together, there's a "Malibu" gran prix, a "Slik-trak", a 1/2-scale top fuel ride (wild!), a sizable racing-themed arcade, food, beer, and pretty much nothing but automotive fiends all over the place.
Industry is a reasonable drive from L.A., Orange County, and the Inland Empire.
Post your opinions and thoughts, please.
