Subject: overhead console IP: Logged
Message: I have 2002 Dakota Club Cab.
When I started it up this morning, the overhead console wouldn't register temperature or miles per gallon. But the compass was working and estimate time for tank to empty was working.
I continued to drive. It did not start working until after I shut the engine off and restarted the truck again.
Any ideas as to what could have caused this to happen?
Thanks

Message: Its a system bus problem. You will have to check the connections and have the PCM checked .

Message: I had the same problem a few weeks ago. After I shut the truck off and on again, it read just fine, so I blew it off. It hasn't happened since. I called the dealership and they said they new nothing about it. I figured if I couldn't repeat the problem, the dealership would just say that there is nothing they could do. Anyways, just thought I'd comment since I had the same problem.
