I have the ventvisors and like them. I was a sucker and paid $80 through the dealer....(Quad Cab)
I like being able to leave my truck with the windows open a 1/2 inch. It allows fresh air in, keeps moisture out and nobody can tell that the windows are open.
It also eliminates the "helicopter" noises when you crack open one of the windows in the QC at highway speeds...
I did dislodge one once during a wash, but I purchased heavy duty molding tape at the car parts store for $2 and reapplied the visor.
I agree that the other style seems to be better, but I would choose the VV over nothing...

I just bought a pair of WeatherTechs for my '01 Dak CC SLT.
These are FANTASTIC compared to the glue strip Vent Visor types.
Not 1 iota of wind noise when the window is cracked open 25%, plus they don't mess up the truck lines with a blob of smoked plastic above the window line.
Got 'em at TruckStuffUSA, $53 shipped to my door.
