Message: Does the Tacoma have any mod's? Does the Dakota? Are they reg. cab's or ext. cab's? If you both don't have mod's and are both reg. cab's the Dakota will win. If the Dakota's got a 5 speed and the Tacoma's got auto, you'll smokem'

Message: I test drove a 4-cylinder tacoma the other day and they have no balls whatsoever. Not only could I not get up hills, but when I pulled out of the dealer's lot onto a major road, I thought I was going to get slammed by the cars behind me.
The 3.9 will win every time. I don't care if there's a supercharger on the toy.

Message: You buy a truck to race it? Hummmm.. why? Asks the 44 year old.
How about '67 Road Runner vs. '67 GTO? That would be far more interesting.

Message: Seems like it's turning into a Tacoma board, however.
Speaking of RoadRunners, however --- there's one in Thornburg, Va. Totally restored - ground up, frame off. 383, brown, bench seat, 4 speed manual. Gets rubber in third gear. The guy even has the thin red line sidewalls on the bias tires. He's asking 12K for it. Plain Jane looking, but looks right off the showroom. He's started the same process on a SuperBee now.

Message: No this is just turning into another idiot lets race everything in site board.
I wanna talk trucks not racing. If I wanted to talk racing it would be about performance cars not Dodge pickup trucks.
Example: I'm tired of my 95 2wd 3.9 bottoming out when I load it cause of the crappy payload rating. How hard would it be to add a leaf spring to my truck? how much additional weight could I haul? and have any of ya'll ever replaced/added a extra leaf? Thanks.
BTW, the rear shocks have about 50,000 miles on em. do you think that has something to do with it?

Message: FYI:
The board's free for anything dakota. That would include street racing and payload ratings.
