Subject: dak seems sluggish, engine light on IP: Logged
Message: over the weekend the check engine light came on, and now it seems really sluggish, no acceleration down low at all. I checked other engine light posts, also tried the code thing but nothing came up, the engine light was the only thing and it just stayed on
I will check more tomorrow, but just wondering if anyone has any ideas. I have a homebrew intake, but that has been on since august.
Should I look into buying a scan tool, or does anyone in Toronto have one I could borrow??
Thanks in advance,
Brad

Message: Check the fuel pressure at the rail. May be the fuel pump. Mine did the same thing but did not give me a code. The (check eng) light just came on and it barely runs now. Hope it is not the problem they are expensive.

Message: Well I went for sort of a long drive, after a while it seemed the power was back, but light still on. Then the power was back for sure, but it wouldn't go into 3rd (auto).
I was planning on taking to the dealer and thought I would put back in the stock airbox, started it and the light was off. took it for a spin and the light stayed off and it ran normally, shifted and everything. I didn't reset the PCM though, so thats not why the light went out.
ANy ideas what is going on? The intake has been on for almost 5 months, now its acting funny. Have I solved the problem or is this just learning the new intake?
I kind of thought maybe it is running too lean, with the intake and the cold air of winter, but its not that cold in Toronto, I don't know.
