Subject: BFG Long Trail's or Goodyear RT/S IP: Logged
Message: I'm looking for a tire that eat's snow like nobody's business (i live in buffalo) but that will also handle and perform decently at the track. i'm looking at BFG Radial Long Trail T/A and Goodyear Wrangler RT/S (i currently have stock Wrangler ST's and don't trust them on wet roads let alone snow) which tire is better? also, any other tires i should look at?

Message: In my honest opinion, i would go with the RT/S. The tread just looks like they'd be better in the snow. However, they are equally good tires

Message: I realize they aren't on your list, but BFG All-Terrains never let me down in the snow during my 8 years of running them. Something else to consider.

Message: The Goodyear RT/S is a nice smooth-riding tire. I didn't like them very much in snow at all. I had the stock 31's and the front tires acted liked skis in snow. Don't know about the Long Trails but I've heard mixed results about them. The Michelin LTX M/S is a very good tire but just too damn expensive. I have Dunlop Radial Rover AT on my truck now and they work pretty well
