Subject: Cylinder misfire IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1997 Dakota with a 5.2 V8. The check engine
light came on a while ago for multiply cylinder
misfire. I have replace the distributor cab and
rotor, the plugs, and the wires but it still comes
up saying it has a misfire. However, it idles and
drives normally and doesn't show any signs of a
misfire. What could cause it to continually read a
multiple cylinder misfire? Could it be a vacuum
leak?

Message: An intake manifold gasket leak can cause that code to pop up.
