 Subject: Turn signals cut out

99 Dakota 4wd "club" cab 5.2L V8
My turn signals cut out after being on for a few clicks. It is sporadic, random, but reproducible. I've already replaced the turn signal assembly itself with an OEM replacement from RockAuto. Anybody got any ideas what's going wrong?
