Subject: 2wd front hub bearings IP: Logged
Message: well, because of a run in with a little mustang i had a few months ago the hub on the drivers side of my truck is needing to get replaced. i am going to go with a unit i found at O'reilly's for $86.99. the baring manufacturer on this one is MPB which after a little surfing have found out that MPB is a division of Timken. the Timken units i've found go for anywhere from $101.99(autozone and not in stock) to $155.99. i'll let you guys know how this works out.
now i've got to get a 35mm socket and torque wrench and i'll be set.

Message: UPDATE:
upon further and more thorough inspection during my lunch break, it seems that it is the inner ti-rod that took the brunt of the punishment and is definitely in need of replacement. the wheel will move a good 1/4" when held front and back and moved side to side.
the fun never stops. but, i'm sure the tie-rod will be cheaper than the hub but more entailed to replace.
