Subject: Fuel Pressure - 95 Sport IP: Logged
Message: 95 Dakota Sport 4 cyl
can someone please tell me how to check the fuel
pressure on this model. I bought a fule pressure
gauge but there is no test post on the fuel line.
It says in the book to connect it to the fuel
inlet usuing a t-fitting on TBI models. Is this
correct? if so where can i get this t-fitting
that the book so briefly mentions

Message: Ashly, you should be able to get an adapter from Auto-zone, or some other parts store. I have an 88 and its suppose to use the same thing, but if you can find someone why can weld, go to a junk yard and buy an old fuel rail that has the valve stem looking thing and have it welded to your line that way you would be able to check your fuel pressure any time you would want without having to hook up the adapter.
Good Luck

Welding a fuel rail?
How do you propose this rail is purge Mr. Mechanic?
The more I read your posts it appears to me you either have diarrhea of the mouth & fingers.
I can't wait for you to enlighten us with more of your wisdom.

Yes, this is correct. You can usually buy one of these at parts stores like NAPA. Try the same place you bought your gauge from.

Message: Mack, I never said I was a machanic, I have done a lot of mechanical work on cars, trucks, and trailers. I was just trying to help some one.
And yes a fuel rail can be welded, only most people would know you would have to remove it from the vehical first.
I can tell you, I really don't care what your opinion of me is. As I don't know you, you can say whatever you like, I do enjoy reading what you have to say though, I find it to be funny.
Have a good day
