Subject: upfront growling IP: Logged
Message: So, my 2000 4.7L Quad cab (95K miles) is starting to get a little growly up front. It's hard to explain exactly. It feels more prevalent when I accelerate. I can feel the a small, quick vibration in the steering wheel. When I ease off the gas it almost entirely goes away. The front diff was just checked and has plenty of fluid. Turning the steering wheel doesn't seem to affect it at all. It doesn't seem to come more from one side or another. Any ideas?? CV joint, bearing, transmission, etc.? thanks!

Message: I'd suspect CV joint; have you looked to see if one of the boots is torn ? If that lets the grease out, they fail.
