Message: nice idea. I saw a video on CNN a few days ago of a company that created hybrid technology they put into a saturn vue. It could drive 40 miles on 1 charge (was plug in electric), reach 87 mph, and could go over 150 mpg (could get almost unlimited depending on your drive time, if you run under 40 miles every day you would not need to run the gas engine).
that brings up a few questions
1) how long will batteries last (break down of speeds)?
2) how much does it cost to charge the batteries (how long does it need to be plugged in).
3) what will warranty be on batteries, all batter ies will eventually wear out
4) how much does it cost to replace batteries
5) can batteries be replaced by anyone?

Message: Good questions.
I think all those Hybrid owners are gonna be plenty surprized in a few years. Just when the dollar amount of gas saved is about to offset the price of the vehicle...BLAM!! Time to replace the batteries.
