I broke both distributor cap bolts while changing the cap and rotor today, the two small bolts sheered off flush with the base, Any ideas?

Message: Maybe use an ez out with a right angle drill? I had a similar problem on a friend's car-had to use c-clamps to hold the cap on till she could get the car to my house to fix it. On hers I was able to drill the bolts out and put in bolts and nuts thru the original screw holes. I have not much experience with removing broken bolts but surely someone here will be able to help.

Message: I doubt those are in there tight. I'd use a left hand cobalt drill bit that is small enough not to ruin the threads. The bit may well back the busted bolt out while drilling.
