Message: Wouldn't you know it. It turns off cold today and when I get in the Dakota after work no heater. It was working just fine this morning, was still in the same position as when I got out of the truck. No fan nothing! All fuses are good, even checked the 40a main fuse under the hood. Any suggestions?

Message: If the fan works on high speed only, it's the blower motor resistor.

If the fan doesn't work at all, suspect the ignition switch. For some reason (perhaps to generate ignition switch sales), that high amperage circuit is energized by the ignition switch, not by a relay.
