Message: Yes, you can use both together. Disconnect the sway bar for the drag strip.

Message: The swaybar swap is a snap. The Dakota R/T bar is just a little thicker than the light duty one used for the other 4x2 trucks - other than that it's the same as what is on there. A few bolts out and in will do it. I left my original frame-to-bar links in place and just connected the R/T bar to them. It was easier than removing the complete assembly from the frame, just to reinstall one just like it.

It allows better weight transfer to the rear, and to the side with better traction. Better articulation.
Same thing with off roading. You'll do a little better on rough terrain with the bars disconnected.

I have a picture of the bracket you'll need to fabricate so you can mount the bar onto the axle. The holes for the end links are already in the frame waiting for a sway bar.
