Message: Is anybody else having problems with the paint on there Daks. I have a Black 03 and 2month after the 3 year warrenty ran out the top startes to turn white and peeling. It has now spred across the top, the hood. both front fenders. and the sides of the cab. Now I am a fanatic about washing and waxing my truck so this truck has been washed weekly and waxed monthly with Maguires clear cost safe products. I wrote to DC customer service about the problem and was told basicly "TO BAD.SO SAD" thay don't know anything about paint problems on Dakotas. I live in Florida and almost all the dark colored Dakota I have seen have a similar problem. If there anybody else out there with this kind of paint mess?

Message: Hey Black SXT, check out the post on V-6 forum under page 5 FADED PAINT and Brandee posted I replied left some numbers and some maybe helpful info you might be able to use Good Luck... You shouldn't have these issues unless you had previous body work repaired or was a screw up on the assembly line these things don't always show up unless you have a trained, educated eye for paint flaws, issues I have worked on the final inspection for a bump shop for 3 yrs. and learned alot and beleive me there is alot botch fixes from the line and when they deliver these trucks.I would take some good pictures of your issues your having then I would go to a good reputable body shop in your area and have a good autobody painter that knows there sh!t and a body manager to document the info down with a estimate and then get in touch with area representative from DCX to look at your problem or what the case might needed to be corrected you shouldn't have paint issues this early regardless where you live and maybe be able to fix your problem so you can enjoy trucking and not having bad attitude, Ive seen it not just with our trucks every make always see something I can find not saying Iam know it all but was learned through course of my employment in the bodyshop repair bussiness again Good Luck.. keep me updated what happens
