Message: I had the worst buying experience with Truckperformance. I will never go back to them again. They posted 4.7L JBA headers for sale 3 months before they were even put into production. After a week of wondering where my order was and not getting a tracking number as promised, I called them and was told they were getting some in the next week. I was supposedly on the list for the first shipment. This is after I waited over an hour each time to speak with a customer service person. After 3 weeks of playing games with them, I called JBA directly to find out about the headers. They stated that the headers weren't in production yet and wouldn't be for at least 2 more months. This was back in March of this year. Well, JBA finally produced them in June. They had already billed my credit card for them!!!! I though that was ILLEGAL! After becoming irate with the manager, they finally switched my JBA order to Borla (which supposedly was in stock). I got them 2 weeks later. I am not the only one either that has had this kind of service with them. If you want great, and I mean great customer service, order your parts from SummitRacing.com. I have been ordering from the for over 10 years and have always gotten my items on time or ahead of time. If don't have your item in the catalog or on their website, call them anyway. They have stuff that isn't listed or can get it fast.

Message: Bad experience with them.
Very poor customer service. I ordered brake rotors and pads. After I had the truck up on jackstands I discovered that they had sent the wrong pads. When I called about returning them they said it wasn't their responsibility; that their supplier gave them the wrong information and I would have to go to the supplier to get my money back. I argued and they eventually agreed to refund my purchase price but not the shipping. I argued more. They insisted I call their supplier and get that company (Powerslot) to agree to reimburse Truckperformance for my shipping charges. I did that, reluctantly. Powerslot said they had made the mistake and would work it out with Truckperformance. I called Truckperformance and they finally agreed to credit me for the shipping charges. But when I got my credit card statement, the shipping charges had not been credited.
Look closely at the policies of Truckperformance: "Disputing your credit card with a claim in progress will result in immediate collections action."
I spent more time trying to resolve this problem than I spent replacing my brakes. They never tried to make it right and always tried to blame the problem on someone else.
I won't ever buy from them again.

Message: I have had good experiences with TP.
Best prices (or they will match). You also get a 5% discount coupon with every purchase for your next purchase.
I research prices on the net then call Eric at TP to place my order. He's a good guy and will assist when (if) you have problems and must return something.
I have had to return two items to TP. However, both times it was the manufaturers fault (Jet pulleys and defective Holley TB) not TPs.
I did pay return shipping (less than $10 each time) but Eric made up for it by discounting subsequent purchases.
Anyways, I don't mind having to return stuff... that means I will be getting more replacement stuff by UPS or FedEx (its like Christmas all year.

Message: I know nothing about this company... but in response to this: "Disputing your credit card with a claim in progress will result in immediate collections action."
I would not worry about that. If you have a legitimate credit card dispute, they would get themselves in big legal trouble if they sent it to a collection agency. Actually, the collection agency would find out it was a credit card dispute and drop it. Disputing credit card charges is a legal right. They are just trying to scare you... I would bet they wouldn't actually try this...

Message: I've harped about this company before, and I'll do it again because I really feel that no one should purchase from these CROOKS. They don't stand behind their products, they have very poor customer service, and they will deliberately LIE to cover their asses.
My experience was in the purchase of a Jet chip which was supposedly compatible with my V6 Dak according to their website. Unfortunately after trying it, I soon found that it was not. I was referred to the manufacturer for replacement. Even though JET sent me a new module at no cost, it wasn't that the module was bad, it just didn't work with my vehicle. After receiving a Return Authorization I sent the chip back. After my next credit card statement and not seeing the credit back on my card I call to find out what the problem is. I was told the item had been received and was assured the credit would be posted soon. Week after week I was told the same thing. Finally, one week I was told that the chip was never received. Despite the fact I had UPS conformation and a signature showing so, they insisted the package was never received and thus the credit would not be given. Now it was time to take the issue up with my credit card company. Unfortunately, because of truckperformance's stall technique, my card company could not refund the money for me since the purchase was past their 90 day period of liability. They did however help me try to get the refund by calling truckperformance and demanding the refund, but unfortunately to no avail. (I am the reason they now have the "disputing with your credit card" clause). Because of thier poor service, and deliberate lies, I nor anyone I know will ever purchase from them again, and I urge anyone who reads this column to do the same.

Message: I bought MSD wires from 'em, and bulbs too w/o issue. Then I emailed them asking about some product (think it was a fan) to ask why it wasn't listed for the 3.9 and if I could maybe modify it to work. Never responded. Repeated my question a couple months later also without a response. Then emailed them to tell them what I thought of them. Stuff like that really chaps my hide; they could at least do me the courtesy of saying "Sorry, we don't know, Mr. Customer who we won't ignore like loosers since you guys keep us in business, but you could ask the manufacturer" or something.
I did buy again anyway months later - a Gibson muffler. Goofed on my card number so they called me, etc, and we got it set up. Guess if they have some money to gain from you they're nice. Thanks loku; I won't buy from them again either.
