Subject: Headlights IP: Logged
Message: The headlights on my 97 Dak are oxydized and yellow. Looks pretty gross. I was thinking of buying some smoked headlights and just throwing out the old ones. Is headlight removal/installation difficult? All help is appreciated. Thanks.

Message: better yet, use some Mother's plastic polish on a Powerball (goes in your drill) and...walla! they look new! I spent 5-10 minutes on each of mine. http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2406857

Message: Don't I have to go inside the headlights for that? Or just polish them on the outside. Also, I was looking at new headlights for a nicer look, but this would be saving me a lot of money.

Message: Well. Try the outside first. If that doesn't work, then you need new ones.

Message: I have the same problem. However, I found some haze and
oxidation remover in my garage just for that very reason and I tried
it. Its all coming off, it's just hard using your hands trying to scrub
it with a rag. So that stuff, plus the drill thing may actually work.
Mine looked better even by doing it with a rag, I would like to get
the drill thing though and do that.
