Message: Mines run at almost half also. In hot summer in traffic somtimes dead center shouldnt with cold setting in now.What area you live?

Message: What is a good fluid to flush the system out with? I have heard of using Cascade Dish washing Detergent?

Message: use something like Prestone Radiator Flush. i don't think Cascade would take any build up out of the cooling system.
