2001,4.7L,my temp.gauge use to stay just a little shy of half way.now its deadcenter..wondering where everyone elses runs at?? thinking i might have a bad thermostat...thanks

Mines run at almost half also. In hot summer in traffic somtimes dead center shouldnt with cold setting in now.What area you live?

What is a good fluid to flush the system out with? I have heard of using Cascade Dish washing Detergent?

use something like Prestone Radiator Flush. i don't think Cascade would take any build up out of the cooling system.
