Subject: This is a must read for all. IP: Logged
Message: Hey everyone, I thought about making an air intake for my 99 3.9 but i seen that it is like 25 for any 3" cone filter along with the abs or pvc pipe plus connectors. Would have cost me like 45-50 bucks. Then i checked ebay. I decided on buying one from chrome intakes. Cost me 29 bucks shipped. Not sure on the quality yet but it has to be better than some home brew contraption i could come up with. Just wanted to let everyone know. And no i dont work there just want to give everyone a cheap cost effective boost!

Message: Once you get it, check the quality real good, especially of the filter and how it's put together.
I've seen some fall apart with the slightest bump, which left the victim with no filter.

Message: Especially if it's got chrome end pieces. The glue they use doesn't stick to the chrome very well. The one I got busted apart during shipping. I used the tubes for another project and ended up making my own anyway.

Message: yeah LOL. I think he may have been a little quick to compare it to a home brew when I don't think he has received it yet. Although he said home brew that "he" could make. not home brew in general :p

Message: I actually happen to be quite handy not like it takes a rocket scientist to make an intake. just more cost efficient this way GraphiteDak. Anyway, so the filters sh!t right on. Well well see how it comes out. Thanks for the input though.

Message: I got one off ebay for my blazer, it came with a K&N fliter, for about $40.00 or so, works great, better gas milage and a much better sounding motor when you get on the gas

Message: I bought the Chrome Intakes. I made sure I got the one with the K&N, normal rubber filter, no chrome on the filter. No noticeable power gains, sounds great. I currently have the filter attached strait to the air hat. Less restrictive, loud.
