Message: Check your brake lights. If both
are out you will have no dash
lights. By design, except no one
tells you.

Message: If both tail lights are out, dash
lights go out. I disremembered
incorrectly. It wasn't brake
lights. I got pulled over at
night a long time ago for having
no tail lights. Officer asked me
if my dash lights were out. I
said yes, they are. They had been
for a while. He didn't say any
more, just let me make the
connection. When I replaced the
burned out tail lights the dash
lights came back on.

Message: Jack,
My dash lights are out in my 99 durango and my parking lights
are out too.... not just the back ones. Seems unlikely all the
bulbs died at once so is there a connection point in the wiring I
should search for that links them? Also when I press the brake
pedal in this condition my left blinker indicator dimly lights
up.... this is weird and all the wiring diagrams I have fail to
identify a plausible crossover that still allows my headlights
and blinkers to stay working. Thanks!

Message: My dash lights work if I turn the light switch to the left but only
when it reached the point that the dome light comes on. Brand
new switch from NAPA.
