Subject: Mad Money -Cramer and Toyota IP: Logged
Message: Last night on mad money, Jim Cramer reviewed his top 10 American companies. #10 in his list was Toyota -- he prefaced it by saying its a Japenese compnay with American manufacturing. He said in the next 10 years Toyota will employ 100k Americans unless they strt shifting to China for cheap labor. He also said the American car companies cannot compete with the Asian cars in quality and no wants to "drive American cars". I think this says something ABOUT AMERICA. I think some Americans think we are no good, American workers and companies cannot produce quality products on their own, except of course the product they work on (we are always self centered and think ME is perfect). It seems unfair to me, our cars and trucks have improved greatly. American car companies did get slip shoddy in the late 70s and early 80s, but then, back then the Jap cars were tin can rust buckets in those days (I had a MAZDA - never again). My DAK has been perfect -- replaced the ball joints is the only thing that's been done in 64,000 miles. Do Americans really despise their own products? Now with gas being expensive, the imports will gain an even greater edge. The Dodge hemi won't be so popular in the next few years if gas stays expensive. Yet what Dodge did was make what Americans want.
