Message: My friend just bought a Mopar Performace Pcm for hes 93 Dak. He installed it, dropped some 92 oct gaz and everything was fine but 2 hours later the truck stalled and he had to reset the pcm to get it started again. So he took another ride and it stalled again , but when he tried to remove the clips to put his old pcm back , he heard a little pop and it seems that the bolt that holds the conection is stripped, so he is stuck with the performance/ non working one. do any of you guys know what can be the problem and how to remove the harness out of the pcm when its stuck like this? Thanks

Message: If its just the bolt, then it can be worked out with a little effort and some vise grips....I believe... I havnt really looked at my PCM to see if the bolt is lowered to a point where you cant access it with the grips though...

Message: Well , we tried the vise grips but we found the real problem, the treads inside were turning. so he took the grinder out this morning and cutted the bolt head, and he putted his old pcm back. A Mechanic checked the performance one and he said it was blown. So my little advice is : If you want to change your pcm just be really carefull with the bolt that holds the harness :)
