Message: I am replacing the oil pump and ALL bearings in my 99 318 due to oil pump failure. I dont want to buy the parts from the dealer but nobody around me had listings for aftermarket parts. Who would sell what I need?

Message: any good parts store should be able to get you those parts, aftermarket. the 318 is the same that has been made since the 60's only the heads have changed. if you still cant find these email me and i can hook you up since i work for a parts store and i know for a fact that i have in stock the bearings, shakey on the pump but can have it overnight. if all else fails then e mail me and we can arrange something and i can ship them to you.

Message: What would be the roundabout price ? Also... I have been told that it is possiable to change the main bearings without removing the crank with some sort of tool ... is this true? I dont think im going to have to change the cam bearings. I almost know for sure one of the rod bearings are shot..... when i first crank up the engine in the morning when the engine is cold i hear sort of a knock... but after the engine is started the knocking stops...........
