Subject: 2002 Color for new QC?? IP: Logged
Message: Hey Everyone,
I am ordering a new 2002 QC Dakota at the end of the month, but I can't decide on colors. hehe... I either want Bright Silver, Black, or the NEW Graphite. I've seen all (except graphite) and they all look good. (Heck, any color dakota looks BAD A$$!!) So I figured I would get your opinions??
Also, in order to get this truck I need to sell my jeep tj. I know this is a dakota sight, but thought someone might be interested. Here are some pics:

Message: I test-drove a graphite 4x4 V8 CC a couple of weeks ago, it was a beautiful truck. I do creative work for a newspaper, and one of the things I came up with was a new logo design for one of the dodge dealerships in town, so while chatting to them, I mentioned that the "dark grey truck" was gorgeous, and they offered to let me take it for a spin. Nice!!!

Message: I have an '01 Silver metallic QC and especially like the color as the dust/dirt does not show like on a darker color. Have seen the Graphite on a QC and it is sweet. I think personally I would go with the Silver if I were to do it again.

Message: Ryan,
Quick question for you...why are you choosing a Dakota over your Jeep TJ?
I'm think of falling back to 4x4 next year and am back and forth right now between a R/C Dakota V8 5 speed or a TJ I-6 5 speed.
What are some drawbacks to the Jeep?

Message: When I went shopping for Dakotas, I was specifically eyeing R/T's (A co-worker had just bought a 2000 IB CC and I was hooked)... I ended up choosing silver because I didn't want black or white or red and none of the other colors were available in a 3-state radius and boy am I glad I did...
Pictures of my Silver R/T can be seen on my website, and you'll understand why I like it.

Message: I definately went for the silver (If I knew graphite was available I'd have ordered that) because:
1. Black cars are completely invisible to older drivers in parking lots at 2PM (even with orange stripes on the side)
2. White cars collect dust really easily
3. A blue car in my family has a 100% chance of getting hit (my GP's been hit twice while parked, my dad totaled two blue cars, none were our fault)

Message: Hey Bill...Thanks for the info!! There is also a $1000 rebate on the 2002 Daks until Oct.(1-3?)!!
As for selling the Jeep... I really don't want to, but as a daily driver and weekend warrior, I need something with more room (people/cargo). I have owned a Wrangler for over 8 years and I need a change. Eventually, I will buy another Jeep once the Dakota is payed off. The Dak just seems to be the perfect alternative to my jeep!
Josh... without getting into detail, some of the drawbacks to a jeep is... hmmm... hold on i'm trying to think of one...
Just buy one!!
If you are REALLY interested in buying one, email me, I'll give you the scoop: ryan_westerman@hotmail.com
