Subject: What to lube IP: Logged
Message: I'm a little under-educated about trucks, cars, etc. I have a 2000 QC and do my own oil changes. I was wondering, at the time I do the change, should I also be lubing anything. If so, how? Thanks!!

Message: thinking only of you and your desire for longevity......dodge didn't put grease fittings on much.....if anythign.
i bought a grease needle, so i poke it through the rubber boot on ball joints, tie rod ends, etc and keep them full of grease that way..
i think i got it at harborfreight tools for about $2.

Message: i finally found the noise under my truck. it is the driver side torsion bar making a metal on metal noise that was similar to ball joint popping noise. What is the best way to make this noise stop? i sprayed white grease on both ends of bars as best i could. Do i have to remove them to better grease the ends? This noise is just really starting to piss me off. HELP.

Message: I dont think the torsion bar is supposed to have any play in it to allow it to make noise.
Has it been replaced? If so maybe it was replaced with the wrong one or size? I cant even wiggle my torsion bars at all.

Message: I don't think its the torsion bar. i know they are not suppost to move at all but that is what a shop told me it was when i asked them to find the noise. two days later i crawled under there to just play with hting and found its most likely the U Joints on the front drive shaft.
