Message: I just changed my oil with the dreaded castrol syntec from walmart - for the last time. I wont use castrol anymore because I want a real synthetic.
I am in the Charleston WV area working in a coal mine. There are no pep boys. I have asked around and looked in the phone book and cant find a decent performance shop. I know there must be one around somewhere - I just havent found one yet. There are the usual Autozone - Advanced - Napa.

I send BEST WISHES for the families who lost loved ones

As Amsoil Sponsor stated,
(he has provided) "nothing but professional

And he pays for the right to call himself Amsoil
Sponsor and the right to post in this forum.
Otherwise Mark (site owner) would not have
allowed his registration and Avatar.
How can you say anything negative Eye_Trip?
You are not a paying member.
You are a site WH0RE!

I take that back. Eye_Trip USED to be a member
and Mark (site owner) kicked him off for flaming
advertisers, especially Amsoil Sponsor.

Amsoil Sponsor, I am glad you still advertise
on this site after putting up with all this crap.

Hello and welcome to 3 YEARS AGO! Moron
I was a paying member before AmsPuke started spamming.
I wasn't kicked off, I asked to NOT be a member any longer.
I never flamed anyone other than amsoil puke and the suckups that think they need to defend him to get in with the ranks of a$$ sucking. F'ck! I can hear the sound of you sucking a$$ all the way here. Not to mention, Steve flamed me first. So if you really have anything intelligible to say I will hear it, but so far all I have noticed from you is just crap made up points with no facts to back them.
I bet you lay around and watch infomercials all day.

Message: Stu, you don't need it? Then state so, or at least a "thanks for the time." It's a pretty simple task. Apparently you aren't to keen on performing simple tasks. No big whoop, you're just inconsiderate. It's seen a lot and everywhere it seems. Try having respect and values. I haven't even seen you post appreciation for anyones replies to your question yet! Even more, I haven't seen you post even a relevant response to any!
AmsoilSponsor, he doesn't deserve your or anyone elses time.

I am open to opinions but I need to be able to get the oil wherever I am at the time.
Theres alot to be said for the miners and their families. There is legislature being passed in record time for safety and emergencies in mining.
Did you know there is a federal law that prohibits fire depts to fight fires in mining!
I work in a strip mine and there is alot of danger in them with all the big haul trucks and machinery. In the past month the mine I work in had a haul truck driver fall asleep and luckily just put the loaded truck (340 tons rock) into a wall - another haul truck driver slept thru his lunch, woke up and started driving over a fuel truck, lucky the fuel truck driver was outside the fuel truck - and just yesterday a handrail broke off a 6 mo old haul truck and a guy fell and broke his back.

Stu,
Let me know if any of the following
Amsoil Dealers Locations are close to you:
Martinsburg, West Virginia
Worthington, West Virginia
Freedom, Pennsylvania (Just outside of Cranberry Twp., PA)
- Serves Northern West Virginia
These three locations are Independent Amsoil Dealers like myself, not retail on-the-shelf locations ... but maybe they could help you. Not too many Amsoil Dealers in West Virginia that I can locate, and I have yet to identify a retail store that carries Amsoil in your state.
__________________________________________________
For everyone,
Amsoil is available in some stores -- mostly high performance speciality shops -- that lean more towards quality (for building performance engines, or an owner that appreciates superior products) than to a "price point" retail store (i.e. Walmart, etc.). I do know quite a few NAPA Stores that carry Amsoil (my cousin for one).
Why Amsoil is not available in more retail stores ...
In the beginning, Amsoil, being a small speciality oil manufacturer, could never compete with the big guys for shelf space. Shelf space at the big stores is not free --- you have to pay for every inch of shelf frontage that you use. (I used to work in Management for an Import Company seeking shelf space so I know this to be fact).
So, ... Amsoil started as a multi-level marketing company, also know as MLM, and once they decided upon this concept they could not change or 1000's of Independent Dealers would loose their business.
If you see Amsoil on the shelf, the retail store works in the same capacity as an Independent Dealer. His discount is only 20% --- so a lot of retail stores would rather carry higher mark-up oils, etc.
The reason Amsoil is not on-the-shelf in more retail locations, is that they will not sell to retail stores for less then they sell to their Independent Dealers. All the Quickie Lubes and Auto Parts Stores you see carrying Amsoil are being signed up by Independent Dealers to be retail accounts.
