Subject: V6 or V8 Performance Cam IP: Logged
Message: I was wondering if a V8 camshaft will work in my 03 V6. The reason I ask this is becuase I want to put in a performance cam into my V6. Would a Comp cam woth a part number of CCA- 20-210-2 work? It says it will work for Chrysler 272-360. If you have any better cams please tell me. Thanks in advance!!!

Message: Nope, more lobes on a v8 cam than on a v6 cam.

Message: Yea but you could put a V6 cam in a V8. It reduces the friction by having 4 less lobes.

Message: you shouln't say things like this: "Yea but you could put a V6 cam in a V8. It reduces the friction by having 4 less lobes. "
anyone who asks the quesion about putting a v6 cam in a v8 knows so little about engines, that they believe postings like this and perpetuate the ignorance...
