Subject: 94 Turn Signal Problem IP: Logged
Message: I have a 94 dakota V8 and am having some problems with the turn signals. My left turn signal works fine all the time. The right turn signal works about 25% of the time. The other 75% of the time, the dash light illuminates and the exterior turn signal lights go on, but it does not flash on/off. There is no "ticking" sound either. Any suggestions or ideas on how I can solve this little problem...before I get pulled over! Thanks.

Message: Did you get this problem fixed yet? I have a 92 dakota and I had the same problem and im not POSITIVE on the reason but replacing the bulb fixes it... My bulb was blown but I guess the wire connected when the truck bounced or something and that causes the momentary flashing or whatever.. Who knows... But check your bulbs!

Message: zzark and Jasonb61-
Thanks for the quick responses and email with the wiring diagram. I talked with someone last night who suggested that it is also a burnt out bulb. We checked the signals last night, and when I turn the right signal on (bad one) the front light works, but the back one doesn't. We both figured it was a burnt out bulb. So, I'm picking one up today and hopefully that will solve the problem. Thanks again for the responses - they were helpful.
