Subject: Annoying Brake Noise IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2003 CC 2WD 4.7L with 30,000km and my front brakes are making a clicking or clunking kind of noise only when I'm braking while turning left or right. It does not make the noise when I brake going straight and it only makes it after the brakes warm up. I have ripped everything apart a few times and cleaned and lubed everything with no success. Anyone experience this or have any ideas?? Thanks.

Message: ball joints? what year was your truck built. I think some of the 03 was part of the ball joint recall. can anyone conform this. I am sure its before 12/03. I know my truck was made on 12/03. so look on your door jam and if before 12/03 take it to a dodge dealership and inquire about this. sorry for the double post.

Message: Ball joints were my first thought, but everything seems solid in the front end. There's no play or anything. Could it still be that even though you can't feel and looseness or play?

Message: Have you properly checked for play? The only way to do this is to jack up under the control arm/spring.
If it ain't broke, fix it til it is.
