Message: I still have an 84 Charger 2.2 It used to have twin 5220 carbs and made 105 ho at the wheels. Now it has just one carb and a mroe restrictive exhaust and is down 15 hp. Still it runs good and is very competitive in SCCA Solo II. For a fast 2.2, buy an 86 Omni GLHS. 14 second 1/4 miles out of the box.

Message: ive been "dealing" with the 3.9 in my 1990 for 5 years
it has enough grunt to run 30 mud tires, once ina while i have to use 4-low to get out of some sand or heavey clay crap. the tires grip too hard and not enough power to spin them, but 4-low does the trick
mine gets 15-16 highway, it has a nasty oil leak in the rear of it and i think i lost a bit of compression on 2 of the cyl. but it was still running at 175k, now it sitting in the back of the 1995 donor truck, and the 318 is going in saturday
anyone want to buy an almsot brand new alternator for a pre-mag? or maybe an almsot brand new PCM?
